Find the right proxy in seven quick questions

Why the type matters more than the brand

  • The wrong type fails structurally, not occasionally. Datacenter IPs are identified by their origin before a site even looks at your behaviour. No amount of retrying fixes that — you need a different kind of address.
  • The strongest proxy is usually the wrong one. Mobile proxies beat everything on trust and lose on price and speed. Against a site with no real defences you are paying a large premium for nothing.
  • Billing units are not comparable. Per IP, per GB, per Mbps and per request all exist here. The cheapest unit price regularly produces the largest invoice, depending on your page weight.
  • Rotation breaks logins. If anything is logged in, an IP that changes mid-session is a problem, not a feature. That one answer rules out most of the catalogue on its own.

New to this? What the question means

We are asking what business problem you are solving, not which technology you plan to use. There is no wrong answer here and you can change it later without losing your other answers.

Proxy
A middleman computer that makes a request on your behalf, so the website sees its address instead of yours.
IP address
The number that identifies a computer on the internet, a bit like a phone number.

Recommendations come from your answers, not from what pays best. Prices shown are indicative and move often — the vendor's page is authoritative. See the how-to guide for how the matching works, or the affiliate disclosure for how commissions work.
