How it works What the URL Decoder & Encoder does

Turns %20, %2F and + back into spaces and characters (handy for keywords exported from URLs and logs), or encodes lines for use in a URL.

URLs and server logs store spaces and special characters as percent codes (%20, %2F, %C3%A9) or plus signs. Decoding turns them back into readable text, which is handy for keywords pulled from site-search URLs or referrers. Encoding does the reverse, making text safe to put inside a URL.

Invalid sequences are left as they are instead of breaking the line, so a messy log export won’t fail halfway.

3 steps How to use the URL Decoder & Encoder
